For my part I almost missed Lot 69 having got there too late to view. However fate allowed a second opportunity it was unsold in the auction room and was available for the reserve plus commission...

Consequently i now have a beautiful and early polyback 3647s Carrera (57xxx serial) with Swiss (no T) only eggshell dial and razor sharp unmolested case and a ED Heuer signed Valjoux 92. Sadly the sun buckle was not present and the plain smooth strap had seen better days but I will try various options after cleaning the accumulated "body cheese" from the watch to reveal its simple beauty
