Hi Jeff,

Your question is so well thought out that makes the answer so much easier.

:the
: original bracelet (shown below), and if so
: any ideas where I might be able to find one?

This would be my 3rd choice. Don't like very much the look of it and it would be hard to find one in very good condition.

: some other Heuer bracelet . . . but what is
: there in 21mm? or do I find a 22mm and shave
: the ends? What Heuer bracelet would look
: right on this Diver 100 . . . Monaco seems
: too flat . . . Maybe from a Silverstone?

My last choice.

: some other leather strap

My 1st choice. There is an amazing variety of high quality straps out there. Hey you could even use "panerai like 22mm strap...

:dare I even say it,
: a thick plastic divers strap?

My 2nd choice. I love the official Breitling rubber strap. It's one of the best on the market. Go to a Breitling deal and take a look at it. But it's only 20mm and Breitling is written all over the place. Anyway my point is there are quality rubber straps out there that could fit this Autavia very nicely.
