As Steve points out, this one has some history, and when you take a Chronomatic dial, that was in the wrong case, with the wrong hands, and maybe the wrong movement, you begin to ask yourself exactly what the watch is? In this instance, perhaps it's a Chronomatic dial, subsequently fitted with period-correct (or at least period-close) parts. I'm not sure how much the fully informed collector would pay for this collection of pieces / parts.

My guess is that a correct, all-original Chronomatic Carrera would sell in the $25,000 to $30,000 range. To my recollection we have seen fewer than six of these, over the last 10 years. So we don't have a lot of data on the comparables. These are truly rare.
