Interesting to Examine This One
In Response To: Autavia blue dial? ()

This is a new one for me, and a bit strange looking.

The typeface on the registers is different from that which we normally see on the Autavia; the racing stripe on the minute recorder also looks funny; not sure what to make of the main time-of-day hands.

You always wonder whether the black could have faded to this blue, but I can't recall seeing that.

Yes, there is always the possibility of a test dial from Singer or another dial maker.

Thanks for sharing this one. For the moment, we will add it to the list of mysteries!!

: Hi all

: I just got my hands on an unusual Autavia with a Monaco style blue
: dial and GMT (?) handset. It looks actually quite fabulous but
: does anybody know if this has any history or originality? I
: presume that suppliers of Heuer like Singer made test dials but
: I am not a pro…

: Any opinions?
