Yes, if you are looking for true NOS and not just Mint condition, you have to be very patient. Of the top of my mind, in 2003 I remember only a couple of silver dial/orange hands cal.11/cal.12 Autavias that were described as NOS.

Autavia is more of a sports watch than Carrera, so it makes sense that people put them to (ab)use and didn't keep them in the box.

How often do you wear the watches you purchased as NOS?
