Yes, he has the two worst and very expensive obsessions known to man: Watch collecting and now Lens Lust. LOL

Getting that long focal lenght lens is a good idea, problem becomes getting it into many sports events. There are numerous stories on camera forums where entry has been denied or camera gear forced into storage lockers for the game.

Anyway, Sigma has some great values too in the longer end.

Good advice would be to search www.dpreview.com in the Nikon Lens Forum and do some keyword searches. Likewise a visit to www.nikonians.org is in order.

Trust me this is a tough disease to cure. LOL
