insurance

think I was lucky with my insurance as I just had general cover, but I had a maximum value of £2000 on individual items (total value £15000) - I did however have pictures of all my watches and receipts/proof of payment - the insurance valued them but they did at first try to give me modern replacements which I refused so they provided a cash settlement which luckily was close to my estimate - the only problem is if they had valued the 1133 monacos at over £2000 they would not pay out - the wtaches were only part of it though all my tvs nad hifi wee stolen and they took my car keys and stole my brand new car as well!!! To add insult to injury I live opposite a big police station which is open 24hrs and I was out the house for only 2hrs
