Heuer Autavia + Helmet box, what to do?

I just found out about this forum. A while ago I sold a Heuer Monaco to Stewart Kay, funny I find his name here.
I'm wondering: I've been offered a 100% original Autavia from 1974 (with original sales receipt). The seller has a Heuer Helmet-box with this watch. Are these boxes original to the Autavia? Are these boxes rare, because the seller says so. I can't find information about the box, so I try it here.
The sellers is not very cheap, but that's because the box and sales receipt are with the watch. DO you think this has more value?
Normally I'm not very into old watches, so I can't determine what the benefits are of the original box.
All help is appreciated, if you want to see a pic of the box; send me an email...
