Bergeron Luminous Paste - JUNK?

My luminous paste dilemma continues. I purchased white from www.smithsupplyhouse.com for a mere $25, followed the instructions and viola, looked good. THEN placed my watch under a lamp and took it into a closet. It glowed for about 5 min then went dark. WHAT? Okay, maybe not stirred enough. Tried again, nope. I called them to inquire about the results and they said, "yes, that's the best you can expect from today's paints". I said, "NO, this is not acceptable!" They said, "tough, no returns". I know that there are way better paints out there. This is just wrong. The date code was 2005.
Has anyone had any success with the Bergeron paint?
I've contacted Jules Borel in KC and they appear to have much better customer service. Bought a different brand. Crossing my fingers.
