the quartz module is the whole of the works less the dial and hands, so by replacing it you have an entirely new (on the inside) watch.

if you send the watch to Tag the charges will almost certainly be higher than using your local watchmaker but you do have the guarantee that they will do an excellent job. i suppose you pays your money and makes your choice.
