Care and feeding of an Orvis Solunagraph

Hi

I have an Orvis Solunagraph, the early model, that I was given this by my father several years ago. I've just kept it in the box and haven't done a thing to know if it works or anything. It was never worn, at least not more than trying on in the store.

Unfortunately no papers are with it, but I do have the original Heuer box, though, and a copy of the 1977 Orvis catalog that lists it for sale.

I don't plan to sell it, so what's the best course of action - leave it as is and protect it, have an expert look at it to make sure it works, etc?

Many thanks - I really enjoyed reading the board and learning so much about some wonderful chronographs out there!
