Regarding the "The Return of the Croto-Heuer" thread (link below)something good has transpired.

I sent an eBay question regarding the origin of the watch and received this reply:

Hi Please geive me more info, if your claim is true i will have to remove it from auction and discuss this issue with my supplier on Monday, please let me know what makes you say this. Your help would be appreciated.

I sent the links of the previous discussions and some pictures of a Croton identical except for the brand name and this is the reply to that.

I have given you the benefit of the doubt and rather than risk my business I have removed the heuer item 260041028540 from auction. Today I will be talking to my supplier about it; I think he has made an honest mistake at least I hope so. Anyway I am more than happy to just remove the item completely to be on the safe side and I appreciate your support in the matter.

I guess even dealers are subject to the fraud of fakes.
