Not that rare
In Response To: Ebay cons and rip offs ()

I personal don't have any idea why this Montreal went for such as large sum, as it is not that rare. Either the winnning bidder doesn't have any idea of the value or it is as jollygreengiant speculates. Charles

: Hello : I have found similar occurences and i
: have been able to confirm my suspicions on
: more than one occasion. I beleive that
: prices are purpously increased by false
: bidders. it seems that the seller gets
: friends or associates to bid on his/her
: items. if the buyer friend or associate wins
: the item, they leave each other a +ve
: feedback but do not go through with the
: sale. then it is just a matter of nulling
: the sale which is very easy. I dont want to
: make any names unless i am forced to, but i
: can prove this is happening, so chaps
: beware. check for bidding patterns in buyers
: and sellers or the mistery re-apparence of
: item on ebay.
