Anachronism . . . in a $32,500 Model ? ?
In Response To: Early dash timers ()

the model car is interesting, if a shade over my budget (at $32,500).

I wonder whether this car actually has these timepieces on the dashboard? strange aspects include the following:

  • I have never seen a white-dialed Super Autavia (like the one on the left)
  • the two-button Monte Carlo (like the one on the right) was introduced in 1967
  • the Super Autavia is also from the late 1950's

I wonder whether the car that was the subject for this model actually has these timepieces on the dash? do we have any other photos of this automobile?

very interesting.

Jeff
