I know that the earliest Monacos (marked "Chronomatic") had hands with rectangular ends and did not have the red inserts toward the center . . . and that the subsequent models had triangular red tips at the ends of the hands. These two variations are shown in our standard photos of the Chronomatic (vs) standard Monacos, linked below.

Can anyone identify the hands on this Monaco??

Is this an unusual prototype / transitional piece or an after-market substitution??
