Remember Our "5-4-8" Discussion ? ? ?

Remember this past July, when we had a great discussion on the question of which watches you would choose for your collection, if you had a budget of $5,000 (or $8,000) to buy five watches? It was a fun discussion, with lots of interesting replies. You can find the discussion by clicking here.

Well, our good friends over at International Watch magazine liked ths idea of this discussion, and decided to start a series of articles based on the question: "Which watches would you choose, if you could buy five watches for $8,000?" They decided that I would be the first collector to be interviewed, and the first article in this "5-4-8" / "Vintage Fantasy League" series appears in their April 2007 edition. (You can see the rest of the April 2007 issue of International Watch, by clicking here.

Use the following link to get to the "Vintage Fantasy League -- 5-4-8" Article or you can read the article through the frame included below.

Thanks for Gary (at International Watch) for deciding to publish this article; thanks to IW Contributing Writer Phillip Goodloe for conducting the fun interview; thanks to two of my favorite collectors / photographers for the beautiful photos; and thanks to all our readers and "posters" for the great suggestions during the discussion last summer.

Stay tuned, as International Watch publishes more in this Vintage Fantasy League / 5-4-8 series of articles.
