Memories are short and merky

I find it curious that we think this way and I include myself in this . We all want information and service from TagHeuer but when it comes to supporting them , when the street goes the other way we buy Timex’s . Our supreme head of this forum has written articles in mags that are fuelled by new watch adds . Memories are short . I sure the Silverstones and Monacos were huge , compared to most but not all , back in the day and thus were probably shunned . Jack Heuer gave us the Carrera and we are greatful but he was one of the big champions of the electronic watch ! An era that saw the end of the Ixcks and plastic Tempora PTL!

: I was looking at the TAG Heuer page on another
: watch discussion group, and they had one of
: those "Show your collection"
: threads.
: I read it from beginning to end. Several dozen
: watches.
: And except for a couple of nice vintage pieces,
: and a couple of Carrera and Monaco reissues,
: there wasn't one watch that I would wear.
: I don't mean buy at a market price. Or even a
: reasonable discount. I mean that If someone
: *gave* me any of these watches, I wouldn't
: wear it instead of my $27 Timex chrono.
: If it's not an homage to an old watch, IMHO
: there's a very high "what were they
: thinking factor?" to most modern TAGs.
