Here's What I Wrote . . . Who Agrees / Disagrees ?

Here is what I wrote last week, to someone who was inquiring about values of the "McQueen" Monaco.

  • very best samples, with bracelet and box ($8,500)

  • very best sample, on bracelet, but without the box ($8,000)

  • very good sample, with average, light wear / condition ($7,000)

  • anything that ticks (or can tick) will be $6,000

These estimates were based on some inquiries of vintage watch dealers, as well as some collectors who watch the vintage Heuer market carefully. These estimates probably represent an increase of 60% to 80%, compared with prices one year ago.

If these prices seem a shade high, please suggest where you have seen good ones, at lower prices.

What opinions out there?

Jeff
