Origin of the Species: Autavia Ref 2446 / Registry


OK folks, let's see those early Autavias . . . Reference 2446 (three register) or 3646 (two register).

Must be First Execution screw-back case, with First Execution dial (large registers).

Let see what we can learn by studying the photos; as an added bonus, send me your serial numbers, and maybe we will begin a "registry" of these babies!! My serial numbers are 48851 (right watch in the top photo) and 49215 (left watch in the top photo) . . . 364 numbers apart, and now, 45 years later, they are together again!

I believe that the "all-luminous" hands (left watch in the top photo) are the earliest, with the steel-edged hands following shortly after the introduction.
