Thanks for the link. Looking at the cases and faces on the two watches, mine seems to be pretty much what you'd expect from a 30 year old watch, although the crystal doesn't. I suppose the only way to properly resolve this is to take it to have it serviced, which I'll try to do this weekend. If it is NOS to a degree or has some non-original Heuer elements to it, I won't be too worried given what I paid for it.
