First off, Chuck, thanks for the education, as well as the ongoing consultations.

FWIW, that Daytona was a clear knockoff of my favorite Daytona--white dial three black registers with no rings and a red Daytona atop the middle one. But for that single, telling flaw that Chuck pointed out, it was plenty convincing, at least to me.

The guys who are selling them, for the moment, are being strangely "upfront" about what it is: a $200 nice fake Rolex.
The problem comes when these start popping up on ebay and other places, priced like real Daytonas.

At the moment, there's far more incentive to counterfeit Rolexes, but as the prices of brands like Heuers rise, there'll be more incentive to churn out fakes.

Caveat emptor, I guess.
