Martin, thanks for the reply. The position it resets at varies - for example, if I stop it on 0, it'll reset to c.55 secs. If I stop it on 15, it'll go back to top dead centre one time out of four, a degree either side the other three times.

The thought of it being a loose hand did occur, but with it also going wonky when it's stopped at 0, maybe not.
