Nic,

the Manhattan has a very small pin, which enters a very small hole in next too the battery compartment. This pin is linked to the toppart of the battery connector. when not very carefully opening the srew and lifting this part to the top, you destroy the small wire wich comes from the battery compartment to the movement.

Most of the manhattans have this problem as users tend to turn this pin across the wire and destroy it.

If this is the problem, send me a mail and I tell you how to fix it 100%
