Re: Market Update -- Everything OK ? ? ?

I won the Monaco. It was a speculative bid rather than any determined effort to win it, but an 1133 Monaco at that level is a very nice deal.

Some questions on the condition of the dial so perhaps it was not a good deal, it was a bit of a gamble, I'll see how I did when I open the box in a few days time.

Or maybe now, since your post on the 1133G, the 1133Bs are out of fashion?

I was suprised by the Mareographe, that is low as well. I guess that is one more for the dedicated Heuer fan, whereas the Siffert and 1133 are interesting to most vintage chrono fans. So there the price is really set by if there are one or two (or three) Heuer nutcases bidding on it.

But still the Mareographe is really, really rare. In three or four years of watching ebay I only saw one with a refin dial, and one where the seller had zero rating (I won it) and luckily I did not pay as others got burned - the seller went AWOL. I have a Mareographe already through the FOF Program (Friends of the Forum), otherwise I would have been fighting it out for that one.

regards
Shaun
