Heuer box

Has anyone followed the latest eBay auction for a Heuer red box? If not, take a deep breath before having a look:

http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160190925447&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006

I watched it closely from the start, as I hoped to bid if it didn't go too high, and as time went by I observed the price creep to unbelievable highs for a box.
I was told once by a dealer that Heuer boxes are 'as rare as hen's teeth', but nevertheless, over 600 bucks for an empty box, nice as it might be...
