Re: I Must Disagree
In Response To: I Must Disagree ()

: Jeff, agree on the length of the hands, which on all heuers are beautifully precise....
but on the other hand dials, pushers and crowns including signed moves look fine to me, on the ones I saw even ref numbers were correct, hence changing the hands would possible make a proper one...model is also widely spred in the meantime, saw these over the years on reputable watch websites...Best AMH

: Mike: With all due respect to your incredible
: knowledge of these Heuers and your
: magnificent collection, I find it very
: difficult to believe that Heuer would have
: used such short hands on these Monacos. They
: look downright silly, and I just cannot
: believe that Heuer would have produced these
: watches. (Of course, if you have better
: information, I will stand corrected.)

: I have spoken with Hans Schrag this morning. He
: joined Heuer in 1963 and continues working
: with them to this day. He says that Heuer
: never used these short hands on Monacos (or
: any other watch). He also pointed out that
: Heuer never used these textured markers
: [they were always polished] and that the
: markers have clearly been re-applied, so
: that they are at uneven angles.
