In Response To: Most likely because Heuer was in the midst of... (Chicagoland Chuck Maddox)

THANK YOU Chuck. :)

My Ed heuer is coming now.... maybe 3day later, at that time, I will get it.

(my one is 188.215/1.. maybe same as yours, I think...)

Mine doesn't have the /1 at the end, but... Probably the same model.

personally, I love a Lemania 1873.

Me too.

So. I was taken a Moonwatch.

It was just GREAT!! but a little bit big size for me,

You'll get used to it, trust me!

so I want to take Heuer Carrera re-edition, next time...

The Carrera re-editions are about half-way in size difference between the Moonwatch and the 125 Jubilee. The 125 Jubilee is really a very petite watch. A pure dress watch. It's nickname [ given by in-laws of my cousin] is "Little DaVinci" for it's resemblence to the IWC DaVinci models.

But I choose this one. (Ed Heuer & Co.)

I'm not sure this watch's historical value and real price.

It's a pretty significant watch in Heuer's history. It is at the gap between Heuer and TAG-Heuer, is the first use of the 1873 in a Heuer/TAG-Heuer product [ the Lemania 5100 marked Heuer's first use of a Lemania movement], and is one of a select few pure "dress watch" chronographs Heuer ever produced.

How about your thinking?

[Previous & Next paragraph]

I can't find about watch's price and value, when I was searching at OTD and other sites.

Well, frankly they don't come up very often. I'd wager they are $1900-2500 watches on today's market in very good or better condition. It's really hard to say since they come up so infrequently.

Good Hunting!
