: Richard, Mine is identical to yours. After Chicagoland Chuck jumped on the thread and gave some insight. I also talked to Toni from Sweden who just bought a similar watch. With guidance from Chuck, I found an email from 2003 quoting a retired Heuer employee who said Heuer used the factory in France for limited production, prototypes and logo watches for which it wasn't feasible for Heuer to tool up for. Heuer approved the watches and mine is in the 1979 French language catalog, but in the eyes of the purist, I guess it is Heuer in name only. Any opinions appreciated.
