Heuer crown w/wo logo

Can anybody tell me when Heuer started to use crowns with the Heuer logo?

I am trying to determine the Manufacturing Year of two of my watches that have a crown without Heuer logo. One is an Autavia 45 black& white with dauphine hands ( it's in the Onthedash photo gallery) that belonged to my father and is in original state. The other one is a black & white Carrera 45 dato with one subdial at 3 o'clock and a date aperture at 9 o'clock. The subdials on the two types have exactly the same styling.

My guess is 1965/1966.Am i far off?

Are there methods to determine the MY through the production number between the lugs?
