The Market Remains Strong for "Originality"

I will be posting some photos of this one, in the near future.

The message from this auction seems to be that the market remains strong for the vintage Carreras, especially the ones that are original, one-owner watches. With all the junk that we see -- put-together watches, re-dialed, re-lumed, re-touched, re-painted, restored -- there is nothing like buying from the first owner, who can provide the watch's full history. Sure, it may have some scuffs, and some dings and scratches, and some discoloration, but if it's entirely original, then these characteristics may, in fact, add to the value (compared with a restored watch).
