French-made Heuer questions

Considering the purchase of a French-made 1980s Heuer Diver. It looks quite nice but I have a few questions about Heuer's manufacturing history in France.

1. When did Heuer start/cease manufacturing watches in France?
2. Are the movements used in the French Heuers the same as in Swiss-made variants (i.e. made in Switzerland)?
3. Is there an appreciable difference in the "collectability" of a French- as opposed to Swiss-made Heuer?

(I like the looks of the French diver but I sure miss seeing the "T-Swiss Made-T on the dial!)

Thanks all,

d.
