Junghans Flieger

Luftwaffe issue from the early 1960s. It was replaced by the Heuer Bundeswehr chronographs.
The case is bass plated with nickel I think, ss back Bundeseigentum (govt. property),
and a gold plated Junghans-cal.88 movement.
A brass case with gold plated movement makes me think their priorities were questionable,
but as we say "good enough for government work".

A re-issue was offered a few years ago with a ss case and Valjoux 7760 movement.
