Need help identifying watch *PIC*

Hi Everyone, I hope that some of the experts here can help me out. I have an old Heuer watch (not a TAG Heuer, just a Heuer), I bought it used in the 1980's for about $100. I wore it for years and then moved on to new watches and recently unearthed it and thought "That's a nice watch". I think it's called the Sport 1000 - it looks a lot like the Rolex Submariner.

I brought it to my nearest dealer and they said that it had to be sent to Switzerland to have some parts built for inside in order to get it working again. I haven't sent it off, because I'd like to know how much it's worth before I drop a pile of money into getting it repaired.

Is there a way that I can get this watch appraised to see how much it's worth? Even a rough estimate would be great.
