Thanks very much Darren, just found a manual online that taught me this.....my first cal 12.....rookie

: yourself - if you manually change the date on a Cal. 11 or 12
: movement you can save yourself from scrolling 24 hours to move
: the date forward 1 day. Once the date has fully flipped forward
: 1 day, wind the watch back to a bit before the 10 o'clock
: position and then forward again, as you pass the 12 o'clock
: position the date scrolls again. You can repeat this process to
: quickly set the date on your watch. Personally as a multiple
: watch owner that tends to change watches day to day , i dont
: usually set the date on mine.
