SOLD; 42.000- USD for a origl.Steve Mc Queen film set MONACO

Hi Heuer Lovers,

as most of you know, iris and i just came back from the vintage car show in italy ; Motor e pocha at padova !!

On last friday i was offered on the show a origl. steve mc queen Monaco 1133B !!

The american Porsche collector Michael Ledermann from berverly hills was at the show too, he was a friend of steve and as a porsche race car collector in the 70 ties he was at the film set in fall 1970 at le mans too!!!

Steve wanted to buy a very rare porsche race car prototyp from Michael, and the deal was car against money and steves watch from his wrist a stoppwatch and a doubleset Monte Carlos ( mounted on a piece of wood, as he took the lap times of his race drivers in the film.)

The offered watch came with Solar film pictures papers ( a certificat of originalty from the filmset/ this watch didnt came from the property master!as steve gave the watch away on the set and it was not sold later by the property master!).

The asking price was 45000.- USD, a bit to high i tought and left it go, next day mornings it was sold to a famous italien steve mc queen items collector!the same guy who wanted to buy the ferrari lusso from steve at the past auction, but he was at 2.000 000 only the secound bidder!

So i now know 3 Steve Monacos from the film set!!
1- In the Tag Heuer Museum ( ex Davis de vos watch)
2. Lorenzo from Milan, Italy
3. The new collector also from Milan Italy

A.Does somebody know more watches from this film, as gerd RĂ¼diger Lang told me he took 20 diff. automatic watches ( Autavia-carreras and Monacos ) to the set!!???
B. What do you think about the price.......????

Well anyway, was nice to have hold it onces in my hands....... sniffffffff.....

greetings Jasper
