Re: Heuer 'Bund' Chronograph 1550 SG papers and history

Hi Arno

Great piece and I love the history. I have two Bunds and agree with you that they are superb watches and definately undevalued.

Cheers,

Andrew Hall.

PS Why didnt you feature them in your excellent book?

: Dear Heuerfans,

: normally we would be all dacord that military issued watches are
: top of the rare list, in this particular case I believe the
: unissued 1550SG is the rare thing. There are quite a few issued
: ones around, some with no marks have been polished down till no
: return. Still very undervalued watch!!
: Today I want to show you Jörgs watch, he served in the army as an
: airplane technician. He admired the pilots and liked their Bund
: issued Heuer Chronographs. Unfortunately he was no pilot
: therefore he could not obtain one from surplus, hence he decided
: to order one from Heuer in 1975. He wore the watch for 4 years
: until one of the four backscrews got louse in the housing.
: He then ordered/got a new case. The case was changed and the new
: case number was carefully marked in the original guarantee
: paper. After a short period Jörg got tired of the watch, put it
: back in the red box and left it for 27 years in the drawer.
: Finally I have seen the watch and liked immediately the story
: and complete package.

: Voila attached are a few the pics of the unissed trendy German Bund
: watch and its big!

: Cheers

: Arno
