11-1 and ^^ markings

I looked through my collection and found i have 2 Atavia's with this double stamped triangle. Interestingly they both have the model number 1163 stamped between the top lugs( above 12 o'clock ) and their case numbers stamped below between the lugs at 6 o'clock. Both case numbers begin with 242xxx and are ony a couple of hundred apart in serial numbers. The one had a Cal.11 whilst the 2nd with the later number had a Cal.12 inside. Naturally i dont know their entire lifes history and it is totally possible that someone has changed a movement out before it came to me. But it would be nice to know at what point the change over occured. Does anyone know, did Heuer use their cases in nummerical sequence?

: thanks to Par for this photo of the Caliber 11-I movement from one
: of his early Carreras . . . nice photo!!

: so that we keep the photos together, I will also copy my Hamilton
: Caliber 11-I photo, at the bottom, along with the "lug
: shot" of David's Monaco, which is what got this entire
: discussion started.

: who else can add to the Caliber 11-I Gallery? What about the
: marking on the back of the lugs? Who can show us this mark?
: Isn't it amazing that we can pursue this hobby every day (and
: night) for so many years, and still find something new and
: interesting tomorrow!!
