I Have Never Seen Blue GMT Hand

Over the years, we have seen approximately five of the really early Autavia GMTs, with all 24 numbers on the bezel and the Cal 11 GMT movement. None of them had the blue GMT hand.

In some of the catalogs where they are showing early versions of a particular model, we do see these sorts of curiosities. Maybe this was a prototype or a unique early watch; maybe they painted it blue on the photo, so that everyone would notice the extra hand.

If you like the look, then give it a go . . . you can always go back to the more common look.

: I recently noticed that the Autavia GMT on the cover of Chronosport
: Magazine in the OTD Catalog section shows what appears to be a
: Ref 1163 with a BLUE GMT hand. I really like this combination,
: and was wondering if anyone has seen this variant (i.e. early
: auto GMT with 24hr bezel and blue GMT)? I'm going to be sending
: off my 1163 for a "freshening" and I'm considering
: going w/Blue GMT hand.
