I was always taught to admit to your mistakes and say sorry. That way no one can really have a further go at you if you've apologised.

I also wish to confess to most of the major crimes that have been committed in the last 41 years (since I was born) as well as any future ones, including non compliance with recycling laws on the odd occasion, exceeding the speed limit next week and painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa in 2013.

WW1 and WW11 were also my handiwork, although admittedly I have no proof.
