Re: Looking Good . . . Should be Awesome with New Crystal

Thanks Jeff...that's a bit of a relief. I wasn't sure if I had stepped in it this time or not.

What's a good source for a new crystal and is it just an "1163 crystal" or is there a part number?

Also - I'm a tad surprised that it's a decent price in your opinion. I thought we have been seeing Autavia's in fairly decent condition trade for $1000 - $1200 recently? Is it a deal because it's an 1163? I thought I had overreached a wee bit due to the fact it's the watchhead only.

One last thing for the group...recommendations for a strap. Post pics if you have ideas.

Thanks,

John

: This one looks great to me!! I believe that with a new crystal,
: you will have a fine looking Autavia (at a bargain price, to
: boot)!!

: In terms of the movement, I think that the Cal 12 is fine. Remember
: that the Viceroys and the 1163 MHs were both on the market at
: the same time (or at least there was some overlap), and we know
: that the Viceroys are powered by the Cal 12 (and not the Cal
: 11). So this may be toward the late side of the 1163 MHs, but it
: looks great to me.

: I am a big fan of the great dials and hands hidden beneath the
: beaten crystals, and I am thinking that you have landed one of
: these creatures!!
