Re: 40th Anniversary Monaco -- Limited Edition / Specificati

Hello David, Jeff,...

I think this 40th Anniversary Monaco is very nice, I like it and think I'm not the only one. TAG Heuer apparently listed very well to their "vintage" customers ;-)

In my eyes the most significant change is the colour of the dial. The colour will be very much like the real 1133B Monaco's we know, a smooth matte blue finish. Also the case will be 1mm smaller then the "standard" Tag Heuer Monaco. The sapphire crystal makes it safe to wear...

The movement is indeed thesame as used in the re-edition Autavia. Maybe it would be interesting if I could post a few pictures here of such a movement?? I'll do my best...

Anyway, I look forward to feel/see the 40th Anniversary Monaco "in the metal".

Regards,
Abel.

: Thanks Jeff.

: I've also put my name down for one.....but most of these changes
: are very subtle modifications to the existing McQueen
: re-edition- a red hand here, a date surround there, etc.

: From what I can see the only significant change is the movement- so
: like others, I am keen to find out what this Cal. 11 actually
: is- I suspect its a modified ETA as per the Autavia re-edition.

: Great looking watch and nice to have the special box and
: goodies...but looks like these small changes will come at a very
: significant premium to the standard Tag McQueen (+ 2 X)
