Re: another argentina airforce gmt
In Response To: another argentina airforce gmt ()

0866 was the number. and was a 11630MH with orange hands. was not a stepped case back but a domed one like you would expect froma 11630. came direct froma falkland pilot so am sure was authentic.

I also observed that the case from the GMT arg airforce is very special. extemely thick. I have to check this against my other gmts but am sure its massive against them

ape

: Alex do you recall which number the case had you sold for my
: files ?
: The Argentinean airforce was supplied with Heuer watches from 1965
: to the early 80is.
: It is very hard to find these in good conditions, most of them are
: battered.
: Attached is another Argentina Autavia, which seems to have had a
: tougher life than yours, interesting are the numbers, possibly a
: hundred or so gmts maybe if they were all gmts ?
: Interesting on the 11630MH is that the standard white minute and
: hour hands were orange on the original ones I have seen.
: These watches have definetely had some service time..
: Cheers
