Re: Basic Discussion about Autavia's, need help

1. But it's right that this case has "V" not a "T" even with Tachybezel?

2. The later Version 11063V has no Viceroy only the 1163?

3. Is this watch correct 3 6 9 12 and Viceroy and could the Bezel also be Tachymeter?

many thanks and cheers andreas

: Hi again,

: 1.T stands for Tachymeter, hence the 1163 T which we call Siffert
: has a Tachy bezel.
: 2.The Viceroy autavia came 1972, many cases or maybe all ?! cases
: around this period were marked V, which is logic as Viceroy
: autavias made the volumes explode. Later there was a second case
: supplier brought in to cope with demand.
: To answer your question: the red pointed hands were used for V and
: the rarer more expensive MH version.
: 3.Viceroys had 1,2,3,4..12 dials, the earlier ones with steel
: hands, steel hands black inserts would be MH versions

: The eraly Autavias are very interesting and you are raising a very
: interesting topic which needs more attention or even a careful
: written publication in one of the Heuer friendly magazines. A
: lot of details are unexplored.

: Cheers
