I'm pretty much with you on photographing the serials - my camera takes one look at the number, shrugs and basically says "no" :) Its macro mode just isn't up to the job. Plus the fact that I need a 10x lupe to make out some of the serials anyway...

The serial makes it another one from pretty early production - nice Carrera.
