Re: Cal. 11, 11 I or 12. Help with identification

Alternate theory - Heuer didn't expect to have to replace the Cal 11, so it's entirely possible they had a bunch of Cal 11 rhodium bridges and base plates already manufactured when that decision was taken. The answer? Grind out the 11, stamp it with 12, assemble the movement with the correct Cal 12 pieces and you have a Cal 12 movement with a rhodium finish.

I think that could well be it but either or both theories could be true.
