Re: My two favourites...

: When I was looking for an 1158CHN Carrera like the one Mr.Jack
: W.Heuer used to offer to the F1 drivers his company
: sponsorred...I came across this awesome 1158CH, the same
: Carrera. Only difference is this one has no black subregisters
: and a silver date wheel while the 1158CHN has black subregisters
: and black date wheel. I'm sure Mark won't mind posting some pics
: of his beauty again ;-)) Awesome details in the dial all around,
: also the subregisters are very detailed...

Gotta love the 1158s, even if gold isn't normally your thing. These watches are awesome in the metal, well worth a look if you can find one.

The earlier CHNs had the white on black date wheel, later on ('75 or '76) they changed to have the same date wheel as Abel's CH - to me, the white on black is more iconic and desirable and was really what I wanted, so I'm very pleased to have nailed that purchase!

My CHN has had a couple of photo outings on the forum lately ( http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?noframes;read=30335 http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?noframes;read=30236 ), so how about another 1158 for a change? This isn't my watch, I found the photo on a forum but I don't remember which one, so I hope the owner doesn't mind it being posted if they read this - if you do read it, your watch is another beauty!

It's a very early 1158 S, from when the 1158s were first introduced (note the first execution hands and markers and early Tachy ring):

Hope you like it, I think it's really nice.
