Autavia Automatic Click Wheel

Well, a few weeks ago I did the unthinkably stupid. I forgot I'd donned my classic Heuer Autavia 1163 and, happy to see my girlfriend at the pool, jumped into the hot tub with her. About 30 minutes later, I happened to look at my watch and realized, a bit too late of course, that I was wearing my pride and joy. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. So, when I initially purchased my baby, I asked Andre Baume, the city's own best watch repairman, to examine it. While doing so, he fixed me with his laser-like glare and pointedly advised me never, under any circumstances, to get it wet.

I thought about changing my appearance before I returned my now water-filled, formerly classic, Swiss gem, to Andre. Nevertheless, I summoned the courage to face down my fears and beg his assistance in repairing the Autavia. After drying, cleaning, and repairing what he could, he explained that the "automatic click wheel was beyond help" and that he knew of no replacements (gulp). So, I'd very much welcome any forum member's help in locating an automatic click wheel for a cal. 11 or 12. I acknowledge I am undeserving of such help. So, just remember, you're not helping me so much as you're restoring a beautiful classic Autavia.

As the philosopher once wrote, we have no problems other than those we create for ourselves.
