This watch came to me from its original owner. It was the usual story that we collectors dream of: worn for a couple of years, and then put away in a drawer. When Hans opened the case, he remarked how strong the paint and markings were -- the blue paint is perfect, from edge to edge, the white registers are very bright, and the lume in the hands and dots have aged beautifully. It seems that the "sock drawer" is, in fact, an ideal storage system for these old watches.
We left the case untouched; replaced the crystal; and gave the movement the full overhaul.
