It's very much a collectable watch, and a nice one too.

At the time the price guide was put together, Daytonas would have been coming in under the bottom end of the table - no less collectable, but not among the most expensive Heuers to acquire.

That's probably still true, though there is some variation in the prices. A well-preserved Daytona is both collectable and valuable, plus we don't see them all that often. I say well-preserved as both the dial and the handset are very sensitive to UV and we often see them with various degrees of aging.
