Re: Value of Watch with Refinished Dial ? ? ? Opinions, Plea

I am of the same opinion. I recently received a beautiful set with all original and excellent condition box, bracelet, band, papers and the watch, which was also in excellent, all round condition except the dial was re-done. I had to send it back regardless of the price I paid. It had lost all its value for me and I was sorely disappointed. I would have rather seen a messy dial in unpolished case that the re-dial. It was a heart sinking moment that happens when you buy items from photographs and words that just don’t quite meet the expectations you conjure up in your mind.
